Evergreen BBQ and Open House

Evergreen Grove is holding a BBQ and Open House on Thursday, July 30th, 2015 from 12-6pm.  Come and participate in this function, take a walk through Evergreen Grove and enjoy our festivities so that you can have a better understanding of the many ways Evergreen Grove can be utilized and share this knowledge with friends and family who may be in need of barrier free living.  Bring your children and grandchildren. We welcome you to visit and tour our newly constructed Handicapped and Wheelchair Accessible Barrier Free Community. You will find many unique features in our homes. We have designed above and beyond ADA requirements and are dedicated to building the most accessible user-friendly homes as possible.

We currently have 14 wheelchair accessible barrier free rental homes and 6 more under construction. Our homes consist of 5 different sizes/styles to choose from, all with varying prices depending on your needs/requirements. If someone wishes to move in and has a disability we have not accommodated, we will be more than happy to make changes in the upcoming design of our next home to be built. Our goal is to allow people with all types of physical disabilities to live independently in a secure and comfortable setting.

 About Us

Evergreen Grove, LLC is family owned and operated. The opening of the Evergreen Grove, a Handicap and wheelchair accessible barrier free housing community is the culmination of nearly two decades of personal experience, research, planning and construction.

Alfred L. Sorge, owner of Sorge's Construction, Inc., who has been building quality homes for over 30 years, had a lifelong friend who became stricken with a debilitating disease. As time went on it became obvious that country living suited his friend best and that a housing environment like Evergreen Grove needed to be built.

So the search began for the right land, town and setting to build a housing complex that would allow people with special needs to still enjoy independent living in a secure country environment.

Now Genesee County has a community designed from the heart up, for people with disabilities having special needs.
